Starting at 7pm, the event will be hosted by local mayor Álvaro Bila.
Soifer, a Swedish investor with decades of experience in Portugal, has been actively engaged in the country since 1980. A passionate walker and keen observer of Portuguese life, he has explored the Algarve and Alentejo extensively, visiting some 80 industries and 98 wineries. He has played a pivotal role in promoting wine tourism, hosting tastings for high-level professionals and VIPs from across the globe. One of his events even welcomed 40 guests from nine countries.
His books focus on unlocking the export potential of small and medium-sized enterprises, highlighting innovations Portugal has yet to fully utilise. Previous presentations in Lisbon attracted VIPs such as the Duke of Bragança, the Vice-President of Gulbenkian, and former president of the Enterprise Confederation, António Saraiva. At the Portimão event, Soifer will present four of his latest works: How to Get Out of the Crisis – Algarve/Alentejo, How to Get Out of the Crisis – Baixo Tejo/Beiras, Algarve/Alentejo – My Love (partly bilingual), and Portugal Post-Troika, a bilingual collaboration by eight authors from five countries.
