Journey to the Far East in paintings and words

Launching her travel story, Finding Mojo, Algarve author and artist Natalie Galland invites the public to view an exhibition of her original watercolour paintings that illustrate the journey.

Located in one of the Algarve’s oldest and most beautiful vaulted buildings, Gallery 21 in Loulé, the official opening of the week-long exhibition takes place on Friday, November 16, from 6pm.

Finding Mojo is Natalie’s first self-published story and is available through Amazon in paperback and Kindle formats.

The exhibition of watercolours, which are for sale, is a visual record of her travels showing many of the extraordinary places, people and landscapes that she visited.

Carefully executed, delicate and detailed, the paintings have been completed using sketches for reference and photographs taken at the time, as she made her way through Russia on the Trans Siberian railway moving on to Mongolia, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Borneo, Indonesia and finally to India.

Gallery 21, located at the rear of the municipal market and town hall, is open daily from 9am until 1pm, except Sunday.

The exhibition runs from November 14 to 20.
