LISBON METRO will celebrate its 60th anniversary over the next six months with cultural entertainment, exhibitions and live music at its 50 stations.
Amongst the musical commemorations will be jazz, classical music, electronica, and Bossa Nova concerts as well as music from a team of DJs on Wednesday afternoons from June 18 at key main metro stations between 5.30pm-7.30pm, until the end of December.
In 2006, the Metro invested a total of 54,216 million euros for new long-term projects including new extensions and stations.
