Loulé’s Civil Protection Service has unveiled a new Municipal Alert System, allowing residents to receive emergency warnings straight on their phones via SMS.
Launched on International Civil Protection Day (March 1), the system sends quick alerts on extreme weather and other potentially risky situations.
To join, residents can simply text “ADERIR” to +351 927 941 507.
