A recent Christmas lunch organised by ‘Carole’s Buddies’ and held at the Portarade Restaurant in Ferragudo raised €655 for charity Hounds for Heroes.
The Algarve’s new singing sensation Norberto opened the proceedings with some old favourite Christmas songs. After enjoying the food served, the afternoon ended with a party game.
With the donations and money collected from the raffle, the total of €655 was raised and is on its way to the charity.
Hounds for Heroes is a UK charity that provides specially trained assistance dogs to injured and disabled men and women of both the UK armed forces and civilian emergency services. Through this provision their aims are to provide help and practical support, leading to an enhanced quality of life for their clients.
