Erika Lo Bianco has been appointed as the new manager of Aqua Portimão, owned by French shopping centre operator Klépierre.
Lo Bianco holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Palermo and brings extensive international experience in shopping centre management. She joined the Klépierre Group as a Marketing Specialist at Romaest, a major retail complex in Rome with around 220 stores, before moving on to Mall Manager at Il Destriero in Milan. Prior to joining Klépierre, she spent two years at Savills as Marketing Manager of the Conca d’Oro shopping centre in Palermo.
Speaking about her new role, Erika Lo Bianco said her goal is to make Aqua Portimão “not just a shopping destination, but a true meeting point for the local community”, strengthening its position as a “reference in the Algarve and beyond.”
“With this appointment, Aqua Portimão underlines its ambition to continue evolving as a welcoming, safe and dynamic space for families and friends, where visitors can relax together, supported by leadership with international expertise and a strong focus on community engagement,” the group says in a statement.
Aqua Portimão is the largest shopping centre in the western Algarve, featuring around 35,500 square metres of retail space across three floors. It is home to 120 stores, including Primark, H&M, Lefties, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Pull & Bear and Intimissimi, as well as a wide range of restaurants and fast-food outlets.
The centre also includes an Auchan hypermarket and boasts 1,800 free covered parking spaces.
