A field of 80 players took part in the annual Nike pairs shotgun competition on July 10 at Boavista Golf Resort near Lagos.
Boavista club members Janet and Howard Morley were the winners on the day with 43 points, beating Kerry Burr and Julio Pires and Sophie Leroy paired with Nick Daly, on the back nine.
Phillip Pope won the men’s longest drive while Sarah Chapman took the prize for women’s longest drive and Amanda Keighren was nearest to the pin on the fourth.
“It was good to see such a large entry from not only local players but from those who had joined us from across the Algarve,” said Golf Operations and Promotions manager Brian Noble.
