Norwegian walkers explore the Algarve

A group of Norwegian residents living in the Algarve organises regular walks in the region.

The first walk of the autumn season was held on October 30 in the Salgados area, Pêra, and the rainy weather did not stop the group from enjoying the day.

As walker Turid B. Saether told the Algarve Resident, the residents, “most of them living in the Silves, Portimão and Lagoa areas, are used to walking back home in Norway and continue this tradition down here.”

“We have discovered a lot of fantastic routes, short and long, inland and along the beaches and clifftops.”

“The number of participants ranges from 10 to 50 and we all agree that walking makes us healthy and brings us together.”
