“Pink Ladies” raise €10,700 for Algarve Oncology Association

Over the years, the Pink Ladies Day has raised a grand total of €47,000

The “Ladies from the Hills” played again at the Silves Golf Course during the 8th Pink Ladies Day. And they did not disappoint! Pink was the order of the day from top to bottom; pink flags, pink tee box markers, and pink score cards. And of course, 120 ladies all dressed in pink, even down to the shoes.

Pink fizz, sandwich wraps, Indian nibbles, and meat patties were served with a smile by our fabulous SDM dream boys. The day went down in a blaze of pink.

After the game, all the ladies had drinks and cakes, which preceded an auction, prize draw, and finally the prize giving. The winning pair with a score of 50 points were Trish Bruce and Kerry Charles. Several ladies won “nearest the pin” and prizes went down to 7th place.

Due to the generosity of many sponsors of the event, including Pestana, Blevins Franks, Millennium Golf, Indigo restaurant, and Golfland, plus several others, we had a great selection of prizes.

Best of all, the beneficiary of the event, the Algarve Oncology Association in Faro, will receive more than €10,700 in donations. Over the last eight years, The Pink Ladies Day has raised a grand total of €47,000.

Photographer Eric Roth was kept busy all day, and great fun was had with his drone on the 18th green. A huge thank you to all involved in a fantastic day. Looking forward to the next event. Thank you.
