POLICE UNIONS and security professional associations announced on Wednesday that protests scheduled for September were to go ahead in Lisbon.
The Comissão Coordenadora Permanente das Forças e Serviços de Segurança (CCP), the permanent commission for police and security forces, includes unions for the PSP, GNR, Maritime Police, SEF and prison guards.
The security professionals are demanding better working conditions, more and renewed equipment and better salaries.
No dates have been set for the planned protests.
