The roar of Porsche engines returns to the Algarve this weekend as the Portimão racetrack hosts the opening round of the 2026 Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe.
Just a week after the GT Winter Series, the circuit will once again come alive, with the one-make championship reserved exclusively for Porsche models launching its new season on Sunday, January 25.
The event features four races, all taking place on Sunday afternoon, promising plenty of action across the circuit’s demanding 15 corners. Fans will be treated to a close-up look at what is “widely considered the world’s most popular and widely used racing car,” the Algarve racetrack says in a statement to the press, in an atmosphere designed to appeal both to Porsche enthusiasts and to motorsport fans more broadly.
Spectators will have access to the paddock, offering a rare opportunity to see the cars and drivers up close and experience the buzz behind the scenes.
Tickets for the opening round cost €10 and are available via the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve website and at the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve shop. Races begin at 1.25pm.
