After a big 0-1 away win against Algarve rivals Farense, Portimonense were unable to build on it in a hard-fought but scoreless draw against Felgueiras in Portimão on Sunday.
The first half was devoid of almost any scoring opportunities, although it was followed by a slightly more interesting second half, particularly in the final 15 minutes when both sides had chances to score.
Djassi almost gave Portimonense the lead in the 82nd minute when the Felgueiras goalkeeper was caught off his line, but his lob hit the ground just a few metres from the goal line and bounced over the bar. For Felgueiras, Berna Conceição had the chance to secure victory for his team in the 90th minute, but his shot went straight into the goalkeeper’s hands.
The final whistle came with an unsurprising 0-0 draw on the scoreboard, leaving Portimonense still sitting in a very dangerous 15th place of Portugal’s second-tier Liga Portugal 2 Meu Super, with the same 19 points as Penafiel. Felgueiras, with 23 points, are breathing more easily in ninth place.
The match against Felgueiras was a rearranged matchday 16 fixture.
