Remembering Joe Dassin

The famous American-French singer’s son, Jonathan, comes to Faro on February 21 to perform hits such as "L’été indien", "Les Champs-Élysées" and more.

Jonathan Dassin, the famous American-French singer Joe Dassin’s son, is coming to the Algarve for a concert honouring his father. On February 21, at the Teatro das Figuras in Faro, Jonathan will perform a repertoire of iconic French songs his father was famous for, such as L’été indien, Et si tu n’existais pas, Les Champs-Élysées, among others, which are part of the line-up for this special evening.

This tribute concert follows the release of the album “A toi, Joe Dassin” in 2020, where, alongside other renowned French music artists, Jonathan celebrates the musical career of his father, who passed away 40 years ago.

World-renowned Joe Dassin is part of French musical heritage, having enriched it with a hint of American folklore. Even decades after his death, his songs – which sold over 50 million records – continue to be played widely on radios around the globe and are now being brought back to the stage by his son, author, composer, and performer, Jonathan Dassin.

Tickets cost €40/€43 and can be purchased here.
