A new member of the Lagos Zoo family is Rita the donkey, born to a couple of ‘residents’ at the facility on November 8. The donkey family can be admired by visitors at the Zoo’s ‘quintinha’ (little farm).
Donkeys are considered an endangered species in Portugal and so Lagos Zoo is proud to contribute to the enlargement of the donkey population.
Meanwhile, today (November 16) Lagos Zoo is celebrating its 12th anniversary, with a party scheduled to take place tomorrow.
