Santa arrives in Loulé on December 1!

An annual Christmas tradition in Loulé is the arrival of Santa Claus on December 1, which also marks the start of the festive season events in the municipality.

From 3pm tomorrow, Santa will arrive at Praça da República to greet the town’s children who will be eager to have their photograph taken with the “old man with the white beard”.

Then, at 4pm, the children’s choir from the António Aleixo Foundation will perform a concert of Christmas carols to delight all.

Loulé Câmara has announced that there will be many activities to keep children amused in December, such as Christmas carousels at Praça do Mar in Quarteira and Cerca do Convento in Loulé, and bumper cars at the Loulé court square. The fun rides will be open from 10am to 7pm.

Musical entertainment throughout the streets of the council has also been planned to help attract shoppers to the council’s town centres.

Christmas decorations, this year made by the municipal services “to reduce costs”, will also help brighten up the municipality.

And finally, public urban transports in Loulé and Quarteira will be free during the month of December.

Festive celebrations will take place in Loulé council until January 6.
