The Social Solidarity Association of the International School of the Algarve (ASSDEIA) delivered a donation of food and personal hygiene products, worth in excess of €330, to the Casa da Nossa Senhora da Conceição, a girls’ orphanage in Portimão.
ASSDEIA has supported Casa da Nossa Senhora da Conceição for the last three years. It is an orphanage that provides a home for 34 girls between the ages of 10 to 13. It ensures, for example, a weekly delivery of meat to the home throughout the year. The latest donation was funded through the previous school year’s non-uniform days, where the pupils donated €2 to wear their own clothes and benefit the orphanage.
