The International School of the Algarve, near Lagoa, held its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, November 24, raising €2,000 for a girls’ home in Portimão.
The yearly event is an opportunity for many stallholders to take part and sell their wares, while students get involved by organising children’s games and competitions as well as assisting Santa Claus.
Parents and teachers also help with selling raffle tickets, cakes, food and mulled wine.
All proceeds from the bazaar go to Casa da Nossa Senhora da Conceição. A group of girls from the home attended the bazaar and had a great time visiting Santa’s Grotto and joining in the fun and games.
Funds raised will ensure that the children’s home has a year’s meat bill paid for.
