“Sunset Color Party” brightens up Lagos

The multicoloured beach party returns to Meia Praia to celebrate youth with a fabulous musical lineup on August 16.

Saturday, August 16, marks the return of Lagos’ Youth Festival “Sunset Color Party”. The much-awaited event will once again celebrate youthful spirit, diversity, and freedom in a relaxed setting where music, colour, and energy merge with the sunset to create an unforgettable experience.

Throughout the afternoon and evening, the public will enjoy performances by guest DJs, great entertainment, and the now-traditional throwing of coloured powder, which turns the sand into a vibrant moving rainbow.

The lineup for this incredible evening features the following:

18:00 – 20:00: DJ Red Deep

20:00 – 21:30: Joana Perez and Solange

21:30 – 23:00: Meninos da Vadiagem

23:00 – 01:00: Ricardo Coimbra

The event is free to attend, and for the best experience, the organisers recommend: wearing white or light-coloured clothing so the colours stand out more and photographs are more striking; bringing a small backpack to store your mobile phone, keys, and other items you want to keep safe from coloured dust; applying sunscreen, especially during the early hours of the event at sunset; wearing safety glasses to protect your eyes during the colour launches; staying hydrated throughout the event by bringing water or using the on-site points of sale; participating with good humour and a spirit of camaraderie, respecting the space and other participants.

This year’s edition of the “Youth Festival – Sunset Color Party” reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and environmental respect. Notable measures include the use of reusable cups and the adoption of environmentally sound practices throughout the event.

The Youth Festival is organised by the (A)garra Youth Association of Lagos, with institutional support from the Lagos City Council, the parish councils of São Gonçalo de Lagos and Odiáxere, and the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ). It is also sponsored by the ADM+ Group, Multirental, Tantalinha, and My Dynamic, with support from CJR and Diversão Festas.
