Swan Lake by the Russian Classical Ballet is being performed in the Cine-Teatro Louletano in Loulé on November 26, from 9pm and at the Portimão TEMPO theatre the following day from 9.30pm.
Considered one of the most spectacular classical ballets in the world, “full of romance and beauty”, Swan Lake is inspired by the music of Tchaikovsky and the inventive choreography of French ballet dancer Petipa, who was a genius in making the body move to resemble the delicate swan. Swan Lake tells the story of a prince who is looking for his ideal wife and sees feminine gentleness and charm in the figure of a swan, with which he falls madly in love. And in truth, the swan is the transfiguration of a beautiful, enchanted princess.
