Swedish quarrel ends in knife attack at Algarve motorhome park

The two men frequently argued over noise and the amount of space they occupied, according to reports

A bitter row between two Swedish men ended in violence when one attacked the other with a knife at the motorhome park where they both live in Albufeira.

According to Jornal de Notícias, tensions had been building for some time between the two men, often over noise and the amount of space each occupied. On Tuesday afternoon, an argument escalated, and one of the men pulled a knife, stabbing the other in the abdomen and shoulder.

Firefighters who responded to the incident described the victim’s injuries as minor, and he was treated on-site before being taken to Faro Hospital, from where he has since been discharged.

The nearby GNR police station, located just 200 metres from Parque da Palmeira, was alerted, and officers held the suspect until the PJ criminal police arrived.

The assailant has been arrested and is due to appear in court to face charges as the investigation continues.
