A meeting of tourism officials took place during the inauguration of the International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) in Vilamoura on Tuesday.
Algarve Tourism Board President Desidério Silva met with the Secretary of State for Tourism Cecília Meireles and the President of Turismo de Portugal, Frederico Costa, at the IGTM, the world’s largest event dedicated to the golf travel industry which took place in Vilamoura until yesterday (Thursday).
Items discussed included strengthening relationships with airline companies and tour operators, the transfer of funds to the Algarve Tourism Board and an events programme for the region. Turismo de Portugal assured that it would support two major events in the Algarve.
