Barry Walton from Derby (left) beat Graham Hey from Leeds (right) by 12-5 during the crown green bowls competition held at the Amendoeira Bowls Club on June 14.
Both finalists had played on the green at Amendoeira during the winter months and had returned for some bowls in the sun, with Barry Walton only arriving the day before his win.
Crown green competitions are held every Monday at the Amendoeira Bowls Club with lessons for beginners available for free.
