Valverde Lawn Bowls Club President’s Shield competition

Valverde Lawn Bowls Club in Almancil held their President’s Shield competition over two weeks in November.
This is a knock-out singles competition. There were some hard-fought games with the semi-finals and final played on Saturday, November 22.
In the first semi final, Malcolm McIntosh beat Sue Hunt by 21-11, then Keith Henley beat Eric Brown by 21-12. The final between Malcolm and Keith resulted in a win for Malcolm by 21-14.
The Shield was presented to the winner by newly-elected vice president Geoff Williams.
Valverde Lawn Bowls Club will be closed for two weeks over the Christmas period.
