Restaurant is open Thursday to Monday
Mizu Teppanyaki, located at the Algarve’s Vila Vita Parc, has introduced two new dining options for the summer season: a revised Japanese tasting menu and a Thai dinner experience served exclusively on Friday nights.
The new Japanese tasting menu brings together the restaurant’s most popular dishes since its opening. Led by chefs António Muniz and Allan Zarandin, the menu includes sushi, live teppanyaki, and Japanese dishes adapted with local ingredients. It also features wine pairing with Portuguese and international wines, and ends with the serving of jasmine tea. The goal is to offer a structured tasting experience built around customer preferences and the restaurant’s core identity.
“We’ve gathered the best-sellers of recent years and fine-tuned every detail so the menu reflects Mizu’s identity: precise cooking, dynamic rhythm, immersive music, and close-knit service. We want our guests to experience a multisensory journey, with flavour, colour, and sound perfectly aligned,” says Diogo Ribeiro, head chef at Mizu. “This new menu encapsulates what makes Mizu unique within Japan-inspired gastronomy in Portugal: rigorous technique, top-quality Algarve ingredients, and an atmosphere that invites both contemplation and celebration,” he adds.
Starting July 18, Mizu will also launch a Thai dining experience served only at the teppanyaki counter on Friday evenings. The menu includes items such as Goong Crepe, Thai Mango Soup, Fried Rice, Satay Skewers, Kaeng Phet (Thai red curry), and coconut ice cream. Three price points are available: €65, €75, and €98, depending on the dish combination selected.
Mizu Teppanyaki operates Thursday to Monday, with two teppanyaki seatings at 7pm and 9.30pm, and à la carte service from 7pm to 11pm. Children aged 12 and over are allowed at the teppanyaki counter. The restaurant is recommended by the Michelin Guide and is one of the few in Portugal with certified traditional teppanyaki service.
