World Smile Day was celebrated at Algarve theme park Zoomarine as over 1,000 children and young people from social institutions across the region took part in the park’s annual “Festa dos Sorrisos” (Festival of Smiles).
The special occasion brought around 1,020 young visitors to the park on October 9 and 16, providing a fun-filled day of laughter and learning.
The initiative, a long-standing tradition at Zoomarine, aims to bring joy and learning to children who might not otherwise have the chance to experience such outings. It also highlights the park’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and education.
“The Day of the Smile is an opportunity for us to share our work with the Algarve community and provide unique experiences for children and young people in care,” said Hugo Brites, Zoomarine’s Marketing and Communications Director. “It is a privilege to see the smile of each of these visitors and a source of provide to provide these moments.”
