The Polícia Judiciária (PJ) are now questioning two witnesses, believed to be Michaela Walczuch and António Luís, friends of formal suspect Robert Murat, in connection with Madeleine’s disappearance.
The Resident spoke to the PJ chief-inspector, who did not confirm the names of the two witnesses.

“Two people are being questioned as witnesses and that is all,” he said. “They are not suspects and this is normal investigation procedure.”
