The charismatic pianist will perform two concerts in the Algarve
For their final concerts this season in June, the Amigos de Música welcome again Georgian pianist Dudana Mazmanishvili.
The charismatic pianist will again visit Portugal and give two concerts for the Amigos at Monte Os Agostos, near Santa Bárbara de Nexe, on June 3 and 5.
Praised as “staggeringly virtuosic and powerful” (Classical Music Review), Dudana Mazmanishvili has already performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, Vienna’s Musikverein, Berlin’s Konzerthaus, and Paris’s Salle Cortot.
She has appeared with orchestras such as the Georgian Symphony, Prague Symphony, and Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie, and was named a “rising star” by International Piano Magazine and Musical America.
A child prodigy who began studying with her mother at age three, Dudana Mazmanishvili later trained under Elisso Virsaladze in Munich and Jerome Rose at Mannes School of Music. Her performances have been broadcast by Deutschlandfunk and ARTE, and her recordings on Oehms and Cugate Classics have earned critical acclaim.
Recent highlights include recitals at the Berlin Philharmonie, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, and the Young Euro Classic Festival. She is also the founding artistic director of the Tbilisi Piano Fest and serves as a cultural attaché and member of the European Cultural Parliament.
All concerts will take place in the Auditorium of Os Agostos. Doors will open at 6pm and the concert will begin at 7pm.
Wine, fruit juices and canapés will be available for self-service from 6.15pm before the concert and in the interval.
Entry donation including refreshments is €30 per person for Amigos’ guests and non-members, payable in advance by bank transfer (see website).
