In my most recent report I explained that, due to adverse weather conditions, it had not been possible to complete the fixture list to date. The League position at that time included weeks 1, 2, 4 and 5. Since then 3 has been played, 6 was washed out, but 7 went ahead as planned.
So, to the results … week 3: first Cats travelled to the Tigers and won 62 shots to 40 and took 6 points to 2; Foresters entertained Scorpions and won 51 to 47 and 6 points to 2; whilst Greens hosted Rangers, winning 52 to 24 and 8 points to 0. Top of the table, Terriers had a nail biting victory over Gladiators 46 shots to 45, but managed to achieve 6 points to 2.
In week 7 Amigos travelled to Tigers and secured an emphatic victory by 68 shots to 44 and took all 8 points. Cats maintained their recent form beating Terriers at home 78 to 37 to also achieve 8 points. Rangers meanwhile hosted Gladiators – winning by 64 shots to 42 and 6 points to 2. Last but not least, Scorpions edged past the Greens by 55 to 50 albeit that the points were shared 4 each.
And so to the Table
Cats have sprung into the lead with 35 points; Amigos still second with 29, whilst Terriers have dropped to third with 28. In fourth place are Foresters with 24, just ahead of Tigers and Greens with 21 each. Still lagging behind are Gladiators with 14, Scorpions with 12 and Rangers with 8.
Next week I hope to report on weeks 6 and 8, leaving just the last game before the Christmas break. Alan Reynolds
