Camerata return to Quintinha da Música

Organisers, the Algarve History Association, aim to support local young musicians

Camerata, a group of young pupils at the Faro music conservatory (CRAMC), will be performing a concert on Sunday, November 23, at Quintinha da Música, near Tavira, at 4pm.

Organisers, the Algarve History Association (AHA), say the group takes the form of a chamber orchestra, with the young performers guided by three of their professors.

Regular attenders know that, via the Conservatório, the AHA aims to support those youngsters whose development and opportunities are challenged by a lack of resources.

“Prior to their tour to Hamburg, Camerata will give us the opportunity to hear their international programme. It includes works by Bach, Chopin, Dvorak, Piazzolla and Shostakovich as well as a number of folk and traditional melodies,” said Peter Booker of the AHA.

Places, at €20 per person (including drinks and interval snacks), may be reserved through Peter: peterbooker1347@gmail.com
