The opening week of the inaugural Vilamoura Champions Tour was dominated by Portugal’s Luis Sabino and Ireland’s Michael Hutchinson, who each took two events in the seven and six-year-old categories on their respective mounts ‘Beldy’ and ‘Tam Tam De Bacon’.
Other winners included Switzerland’s Faye Schoch on ‘Delvecchio’ and Portugal’s Luis Fernando on ‘Deto’ who claimed the prizes in the five-year-old category.
This week’s show jumping should have reached new heights as reigning world champion Phillipe Le Jeune from Belgium joined the field of competitors, making this a truly top class international event in the Algarve.
