Albufeira has pulled out all the stops for Christmas. From ice rinks and festive markets to giant nativity displays, the holiday spirit is spreading across every corner of the municipality throughout December.
From December 12 to December 24, the 2025 edition of Albufeira Natal takes over the area surrounding the Caliços municipal market, promising thousands of visitors a sparkling winter-wonderland escape, featuring the popular ice rink, live entertainment, and of course, Santa Claus, ready for photos and holiday wishes. It will be open weekdays from 3pm to 8pm and on weekends from 10am to 8pm.
Christmas will also be celebrated in Olhos de Água, which will host its own Magical Christmas at the municipal market from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, December 13.
Meanwhile, the Albufeira multiuse space is set to host a Christmas Market on December 20 and 21, from 2pm to 8pm.
Last but not least, three different nativity scenes are bringing the traditional Christmas story to life: one in Paderne, hosted by the Scouts Group 1009 (open through January 6); one in Albufeira, hosted by the volunteer firefighters at their station (open through January 7); and the other throughout the streets of Guia (open through January 6).
