The village of Companheira near Portimão is to hold the 6th Crab Festival (Festival do Caranguejo) from tonight (Friday) until Sunday at the Centro Social Desportivo e Cultural da Companheira.
Traditional crab appetisers are on the menu, while visitors will also enjoy live music and folk dancing.
Tickets cost €3.50 (including a plate of cooked crabs) and the event starts at 7pm each day.
