Portugal finished 17th out of the 26 countries which participated in the €5.9 million Honda World Cup of Golf in Australia over the weekend.
Ricardo Santos and Filipe Lima began well with Santos carding two rounds of 69 on the Royal Melbourne course before falling away to share 15th place in the final induvidual standings. The competition was won for the fifth time by the host nation for whom Jason Day enjoyed an outstanding four days, also taking individual honours with a ten-under-par total of 274.
