Folar fair brings festive fun to Algarve village

Inland village pays tribute to Portugal's famous Easter bread

Easter will be celebrated in Barão de São João, near Lagos, with the 22nd Folar and Handicraft Fair (Feira do Folar e Artesanato), taking place from Friday to Sunday (3–5 April).

The star of the show is Folar – a traditional Portuguese Easter bread that can be sweet or savoury. There will also be a crafts market, street food, workshops and non-stop entertainment.

The fair opens at 3pm every day. Admission is free.
