A charity golf day will be taking place on December 2 at the Pestana Vila Sol golf course in Vilamoura, in aid of the Algarve Oncology Association (AOA).
Event organisers, Fore Golf Algarve, appeal to all golf lovers looking for a day of fun to support this good cause.
The AOA provides temporary accommodation for cancer patients in the Algarve who need radiation treatment.
With hopes of expanding support available for cancer sufferers, the AOA is now working towards raising money to build a temporary residence called Casa Flor das Dunas (House of the Wild Flowers), for those receiving radiotherapy treatment.
Although the municipality of Faro has already donated the land for this home, funds are still required for the construction.
Funds raised at the charity golf day will be donated to this project.
The cost of participating in this fundraising golf event will be €75 per person for the day, including golf, buggy, a polo shirt, drinks and lunch.
Special golf packages for the event have also been set up for €265 per person, which includes three nights’ accommodation with breakfast at the Vila Sol Resort, plus one practice golf round and entrance to the charity day.
