SC Braga ended a run of five straight league defeats when they beat Olhanense 4-1 to push the Algarve side deeper into the relegation mire.
Two goals in the first twelve minutes through Santos and Rafa gave the ‘Arsenalistas’ a comfortable half-time lead. The visitors looked livelier after the interval and Celestino reduced the arrears from the penalty spot after he was brought down in the area. At this point Braga looked very shaky and Regula, Dionisi and Mehmeti wasted gilt edged opportunities to level the scores.
Midway through the half Regula attempted clearance fell at the feet of Ederzito who smashed the ball home. Regula’s evening went from bad to worse 10 minutes later when he received a straight red for a two footed tackle.
Pardo put the result beyond doubt when he added a fourth just sixty seconds after coming on in the final minute of the game.
