Olhão hosts charity concert in support of storm victims

All proceeds will go to the Portuguese Red Cross, which will ensure aid reaches affected families

Olhão’s municipal auditorium will host next month a charity concert to raise money for victims of Portugal’s devastating winter storms.

Taking place on Tuesday, March 3 at 9pm, the concert is organised by municipal company Fesnima and will bring together around 30 musicians from Olhão.

Among those performing are 3AM, 33LM, Banda Filarmónica 1.º de Dezembro de Moncarapacho, the Conservatório de Música de Olhão, Contra Corrente, the University Senior Choir of Olhão, Cristiano Martins, Denzel Amaral, Domingos Caetano, Drum School, Estrela Maria, Fábio Lagarto, Fernando Leal, Grupo Musical Gerações, Helder Coelho, Insane, Luís Guilherme, Mário Saraiva, Os Marafados, Rafael Sousa, Ricardo Salvador Martins, Ricky B, Rosinda Vargues, Sara Badalo, Susana Neves, Tatiana Pinto, and The Black Teddys, with special appearances by Ricardo J. Martins and Bruno Davide. Additional support comes from Entre Aspas, Inês Graça, Pedro Viola, Sara Gonçalves, and Teresa Viola.

All proceeds from the concert will go directly to the Portuguese Red Cross, which will ensure aid reaches families and communities devastated by flooding and property damage.

The municipal council of Olhão is supporting the cause by providing the auditorium as a venue, while all participating artists are offering their performances free of charge.
