Another ‘strange’ fire has partially consumed a beach-bar restaurant in Praia da Rocha.
The fire took hold last Friday night, with the alert raised just after 10pm. It is unclear what may have caused it at this point. PJ police are investigating.
This is the second notable, and this far unexplained, Algarve fire in recent days. In the early New Year, the Ferox surfboard factory in São Brás de Alportal also suffered a devastating blaze which has stopped the 20-year enterprise in its tracks. A GoFundMe appeal towards rebuilding is currently online.
