The line up for the Rock One Festival to be held at the Algarve Motor Park between August 5 and 8 is shaping up, with bands from both sides of the Atlantic already confirming their presence for this new event.
American rockers The Offspring and British band James, famed for asking you to Sit Down, are just two of the latest bands to be announced for the music festival in the Algarve that hopes to attract 200,000 music fans to the park near Portimão (see the Algarve Resident edition, June 29).
Marketing manager Ana Xavier told the Algarve Resident: “We have several more bands confirmed and will announce the next one on Friday (today) in Lisbon.”
Organisers of the festival also signed a pledge to donate one euro from each ticket sold to Portimonense football club.
Ana Xavier also announced an extra facility at the festival whereby fans will be able to stay the full four days in a 50,000sqm camp site.
“We want this to be a family event and so people will be able to stay at the festival and children will have a fully equipped Kid Rock garden where they can play and be looked after while their parents enjoy the concerts,” she said.
