The Algarve International Racetrack will come alive on Sunday (October 5) for the Ride and Roses Event, a special initiative organised to support women affected by cancer.
Promising an afternoon of “community, empowerment and solidarity,” the event kicks off at 3pm along the Portimão riverside, in front of the Clube Náutico, where participants will gather for the start of the ride. From 3.20pm to 4pm, riders will take to the streets on motorcycles, part of the European-wide Pink October rides raising funds for women living with cancer.
By 4pm, everyone will arrive at the racetrack, where the afternoon continues with music, workshops and raffles. The day closes with a final lap around the track and a group photo at 7pm.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Associação Oncológica do Algarve (AOA). Registrations are already open at AOA Tickets.
AOA is a Portuguese non-profit organisation that supports cancer patients and their families in the Algarve, offering services like psychological support, patient guidance, awareness campaigns, and fundraising initiatives to improve cancer care locally.
