The One Restaurant, recognised with the Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator magazine, continues to invest in exclusive experiences that celebrate the finest cuisine paired with renowned national wines.
On November 7, the restaurant at Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort will host a wine dinner in collaboration with Quinta do Crasto, an iconic Douro wine producer, for an evening where flavours and aromas blend into an unforgettable experience.
The experience comprises five moments, starting at 19h30 with a welcome drink of Crasto Rosé, a fresh and vibrant wine with a fruity, elegant profile, ideal for pairing with the selection of canapés and creating the perfect atmosphere for initial mingling.
The first gastronomic suggestion of the evening is crayfish with Jerusalem artichoke purée, lemon, and Oscietra Royal caviar, paired with Crasto Branco. Made from traditional Douro grape varieties, this wine reveals striking freshness, citrus aromas, and subtle floral notes, offering the perfect pairing to enhance the dish’s delicacy and minerality.
The third course features grouper, onion consommé, and jus with a saffron crust and São Jorge cheese, accompanied by Crasto Altitude 430, a wine that embodies the freshness and elegance of the Tinta Francisca and Touriga Nacional grape varieties. With a crisp and refined finish, it adds balance and depth to a dish known for its rich flavours and textures.
The meat course includes a succulent veal loin served with smoked celery purée, boletus mushrooms, and chanterelles with black truffle, complemented by Quinta do Crasto Tinta Roriz. This dark-hued, intensely structured red wine reveals aromas of ripe red fruits and spiced notes, enhancing the dish’s richness and heightening the gastronomic experience.
Dessert offers a refined contrast between smooth, dark chocolate, ice cream, and pearls of Quinta do Crasto olive oil with griottines, served with Crasto 10-Year-Old Tawny Port, which boasts excellent aromatic complexity and notes of honey, fig, and subtle, delicate spices. On the palate, it reveals great freshness and balance, concluding the dinner with harmony and elegance.
