“The Heart of a Portuguese Village” photographic exhibition

“I hope to express the beauty of living in a small Portuguese community” - Eric Roth

Eric Roth, an American photojournalist living in the Algarve, will be presenting an exhibition of his new work, entitled “The Heart of a Portuguese Village”.

In keeping with this theme, the photographic exhibition will be held in the heart of Amorosa, his village, which is near the town of São Bartolomeu de Messines.

“As a foreign resident of Portugal,” said Roth, “I feel very welcomed and supported by my Portuguese neighbors. They are incredibly friendly and kind. They treat each other like a big family. Through the photographs, I hope to express the beauty of living in a small Portuguese community.”

More than 30 large-format, color photographs will be on display in the spacious function hall of the village community center, Associação Recreativa e Cultural da Amorosa.

The show runs from October 17 to November 21.

The public is invited to a celebration and opening reception on Friday, October 17, from 4pm to 7pm. The address is: Associação Recreativa e Cultural da Amorosa, Rua da Escola, Amorosa, São Bartolomeu de Messines, Portugal.
