Vila do Bispo: Paula Freitas (PSD) unseats Rute Silva (PS) by slimmest of margins

Paula Freitas won by just 49 votes

In yet another incredibly close Algarve race, PSD candidate Paula Freitas was elected the new mayor of Vila do Bispo by just 49 votes.

Freitas received 40.85% of the vote (1,114) on Sunday, ever so slightly more than Socialist mayor Rute Silva (39.24%, 1,070). CHEGA followed in third (14.45%, 394).

The results translate into two municipal seats for PSD, two for PS and one for CHEGA.
