Vale do Lobo Art Gallery’s latest exhibition ‘Abstraction’ presents a collection of art from numerous Portuguese artists and is the fruit of a new partnership between Vale do Lobo and the prestigious São Mamede Gallery, one of Portugal’s leading art references.
The new exhibition runs until December 12 and features a display of pieces by Deolinda Fonseca, Gonzalez Bravo, Jean Pierre Porcher, JOH and Nélio Saltão.
The São Mamede Gallery was founded in 1968 and has become a reference point of Portuguese modernist painting, also connected with the surrealist movement. It was a meeting point of the Portuguese elite during and after the revolution of 1974, since becoming a cultural centre for conferences and art editions.
