A charity bridge tournament will take place on November 12 at the Dunas Douradas Beach Club from 10.30am.
Bridge players of all levels are invited to compete in a special Swiss Teams Event with the winning team being presented with the Quinta Jacintina Cup.
Cost per person is €40 and includes a light lunch and coffee during breaks.
Proceeds from the tournament will go to the ACCA charity that helps children in need in the Algarve. ACCA is presently supporting several children with communication difficulties and who are attending speech therapy sessions.
A raffle for a chance to win four flights (donated by Affinity Global Wealth) to European destinations will be held on the date.
Halloween run
Meanwhile, another event in aid of ACCA will be a Halloween Fun Run on October 28 from the Gigi’s bridge in Quinta do Lago at 9am.
Participants can choose to walk or run the 5km or 10km route. Entry will cost €15 per person or €25 per family.
