Art’gudo brings art and crafts back to Ferragudo

Monthly event invites visitors to discover local talent by the Arade River

Ferragudo is once again coming to life with colour and creativity as Art’gudo – Arte em Ferragudo makes its triumphant return this year.

Held on the last Sunday of each month, the event turns the area near the bridge and the main square garden into a lively meeting point for artists, artisans and visitors.

The first edition of the year, held in March, featured more than two dozen artisans, along with several painters working live, offering visitors a chance to see the creative process up close.

The market showcases a wide range of handmade pieces, including jewellery, ceramics, painting, textiles and contemporary art, all in a relaxed setting by the Arade River.

From March to May, the event runs between 10am and 5pm, while from June to September it takes place from 5pm to 11pm.

Art’gudo is organised by the Associação Caminhos do Meio in partnership with the local parish council.

The initiative aims to support local creators while offering residents and visitors a different way to spend a Sunday and discover the Algarve’s artistic scene.
