Saint Martin’s Day will be celebrated in Albufeira this Sunday from 2.30pm in various locations in the municipality.
The afternoon will see a ‘Magusto’ celebration, where visitors will gather around a large fire to eat roasted chestnuts and drink the traditional ‘jeropiga’ alcoholic beverage, a sweet wine. At the town’s entrance, by the Albufeira Tourism Post, the event will begin at 2.30pm until 6pm.
In Olhos d’Água, a party organised by the Cultural and Recreational Association of Olhos de Água (ACRODA) will begin at 3pm at the Municipal Market of the parish.
The event will also be celebrated in Ferreiras next to the São José church from 5pm.
Entrance is free at all events.
