Charity group seeks to help legless man

A volunteer charity group in Monchique is trying to raise money to buy a stair chair lift for a 50-year-old local man without legs who lives in a first floor dwelling and has extreme mobility difficulties.

The group Espiral de Vontades wants to sell five tons of waste plastic currently  stored in Caldas de Monchique in order to help José Cecílio.

A spokesperson for Espiral de Vontades said: “Our objective is to enable José to have more mobility and a better quality of life.”
