Temperatures to reach or top 30ºC in some parts of Portugal this weekend
After a mostly rainy winter and spring, Portugal will get an early taste of the fast-approaching summer season this weekend, with temperatures set to reach or top 30ºC in some parts of the country.
Clear skies are forecast across mainland Portugal on Saturday and Sunday, according to the Portuguese Sea and Atmosphere Institute (IPMA).
Generally, maximum temperatures will range from 25ºC to 30ºC. Minimum temperatures are not expected to drop below 9ºC in northern areas and 18ºC in the warm Algarve, with other regions expecting minimums somewhere between these two.
Next week will bring even warmer weather, with temperatures expected to continue rising above the 30ºC mark, particularly in the southern regions.
