This year’s Better Living in Portugal exhibition saw four lucky Algarve Resident readers receive extreme makeovers with the help of Victor Picardo Hairstyling Group and Collections.
The winners, Gloria Costa, Micki Jones, Sheila Risk and Helen Woodward, received the special gift after entering our ‘Extreme Makeover BLiP Edition’ competition.
The prize was a complete hairstyle by Victor Picardo himself, nail treatment and a revitalising facial, followed by complementing make-up applied by a professional artist.
Winners were also dressed by Collections’ Alison Slater, with outfits specifically selected to suit each of them individually.

The prize, worth hundreds of euros, was thoroughly enjoyed by the four ladies, who although a little apprehensive before the makeover, were delighted with the results.
When all steps of the makeover had been completed, the women described their experience as “completely enjoyable” and said they were “over-the-moon with their new looks”.
The Algarve Resident agrees – they all look fantastic!
